1. Who we are

Jobberd is a platform that connects companies, recruitment agencies and professionals for temporary assignments. In this privacy policy we explain what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted).
• For professionals: date of birth (to verify you are 16 or older) and optionally field of study.
• For companies and recruiters: company name.
• Platform activity: posted assignments, applications, messages between users and reviews you give or receive.
• If you log in with Google: name, email address and profile photo as known to Google.
• Technical data: IP address, for security purposes (e.g. rate limiting on login attempts).

3. How we use this data

We use your data to manage your account and session, match assignments and applications, enable communication between users, and to prevent abuse and unauthorized access. We never sell your data to third parties.

4. Retention period

We retain your data as long as you have an active account. After deleting your account we delete your personal data, except where we are legally obliged to retain data longer (for example for tax purposes).

5. Sharing with third parties

We only share data with parties necessary to operate the platform, such as our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Neon, hosted in the EU). These parties process data exclusively on our behalf.

6. Cookies

Jobberd uses only functional cookies necessary to keep you logged in (session management). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to data portability. Contact us at privacy@jobberd.nl to submit a request. You can also file a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
